In this course you will learn using estimation to calculate and communicate.
Introduction
Estimation is a tool that we use all of the time, often without realising that we are using numeracy. For instance:when shopping we make sure we've got enough cash to cover what's in the basket, judging how many people are in the room , giving a rough size of something. We use it when exact answers aren't needed - or it would take WAY too much effort to actually work out the exact answer.
