The Ministry of Justice is one of 24 Ministerial departments that the Government has. It is responsible for the following parts of the justice system:· Courts
· Prisons
· Probation Services
· Attendance centres
The Ministry of Justice works together with other government departments with responsibilities relevant to the justice system. For example, the Ministry of Justice works alongside the Home Office, the lead government department responsible for the police.
