What is Biosecurity ?
The actions taken are combination of developments and structures that have been put in place by bioscience research laboratory, public departments and agricultural leaders to stop the use of dangerous pathogens and toxins.
Why should we care?

• Keep food prices low for consumers.
• Keep good public opinion.
• Keep interstate and international trade open.
What types of diseases do we try to prevent or control with biosecurity?
Infectious diseases caused by bacteria, fungi, parasites, prions, and viruses.
Disease occurs when the right agent and the right host are together in the right environment.
We use biosecurity to prevent disease accidents from happening.
