Learn about multiplication, specifically multiplying whole numbers using a range of strategies and multipying decimals of up to two decimal places by 10, 100 and 1000. This course is ideal for beginners.
Introduction
Multiplication is a method for adding a number to itself a number of times.This is also called repeated addition.
For example 5 + 5 + 5 + 5 = 20 is the same as 5 multiplied by 4 = 20.
When you are multiplying numbers it doesn’t matter which order they are in.
For example, 2 times 4 equals 8 is the same as 4 times 2 equals 8.
