This module offers an overview of policies and procedures for protecting cardholder data. Some clauses of the Data Security Standards allow for organizations to create procedures and documentation that best fit our unique needs.

All companies that accept, store, process or transmit credit card information are required to comply with the Data Security Standards (DSS).  These standards outline how data from credit cards are accepted, stored, and how cardholder information is transmitted. The DSS also outlines the requirements for the security of that data.
